Traditionally NT and 2000 start warning when disk space is at 90% capacity. These days when most new hard drives are 60+ Gb that means that at 90% capacity you still have 6Gb of available space. Use this tweak to change the percentage that Windows uses for this warning.
Key:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ System \ CurrentControlSet \ Services \ LanmanServer \ Parameters
Value: DiskSpaceThreshold
Data Type: REG_DWORD
Data:0-100 interpreted as a percentage - default is 10
