1. Open the key below, and modify the value of 'AltColor' to a hexidecimal value representing the color you want the files to be display using.

2. Exit and reboot.

Note: The option to "Display compressed files and folders with alternate color" must be enabled, this is found under 'View | Options | View' in any explorer window.
