Navigate the the location below in your registry and make the corresponding change.

Create or edit the existing DWORD value (string value for Windows 98) named "InitialRefreshT.O." and set it to the timeout desired in milliseconds. The minimum and default timeout is 960,000 milliseconds (+- 16 minutes) and the maximum is 4,294,967,295 milliseconds (+- 50 days). 

Restart Windows.
