Navigate the the location below in your registry and make the corresponding change.

Create or edit the existing DWORD value (string for Windows 98) named "BcastQueryTimeout", and set it to equal the period of time in milliseconds (minimum is 100) you would like it to wait. 

Restart Windows.

Value Name: BcastQueryTimeout
Data Type: REG_DWORD
Data:Time in milliseconds (Default  is 750)
