I tend not to use any spyware removal programs, not until I check out here:

Spyware Sweeper 3 has given false possitives in the past, which can cause some major problems if they are system files, etc.
 
The best route, for any spyware/malware issues, is to run HijackThis. Don't remove all it finds, and never use those online programs that tells you what to keep/remove.  
 
Just check with a competant security expert, best if they're a member of ASAP, as they're the most trused in the web.
 
Sure, I have AddAware, but I never get spyware/viruses etc (touch wood), but all it finds are a few tracking cookies, and the MRU list (recently accessed files, media, etc)
 
Don't want to sound bad, but bookmark that link I gave. Then, as they're sometimes called different names, just press Ctrl-F and search for the name of the program you have
