In our mixed Netware, Microsoft network I've watched a W2K pc (using a sniffer)during the boot process search every server it knows about (via Login scripts or manual drive mappings) for the desktop.ini file. During this process the server return an error "file not found" or something to that effect. I'm still looking for a way to curb this behaviour (I'm still trying to uderstand it)
