Certain websites cause IE6 to freeze. I have cleaned out temp files, cookies etc. I tried the IE repair tool, I have tried uninstalling ,reinstalling in regular mode, in safe mode, in various configurations using msconfig. The process seems to freeze before its done. I have found a partial but very unsatisfactory solution. I reinstalled the browser component only and left everything else alone. The computer then restarts and the updating files icon appears with the drum picture. It also hangs. I hit ctrl-alt-delete to get rid of it. Everything loads just fine and IE works perfectly. If ,however, at some later time I need to restart IE goes back to its old behavior of freezing at certain websites. I have all the latest drivers for my radeon 7000 video card. I dont want to reinstall IE6 everytime I need to restart. There must be a better solution than this. Can you help?? Thanks---Jim
