Maybe what you are refering to is the auto-complete function. Click on TOOLS then INTERNET options then choose the CONTENT tab at the top. Click on the AUTOCOMPLETE button. First make sure that none of the three boxes are checked. That way autocomplete will no longer work. Then click on CLEAR FORM and CLEAR PASSWORDS to clear out all of your previous search entries. Then clik OK and your done. You also may want to go to the general tab and click on CLEAR HISTORY. This will clear out all of the saved addresses in the drop-down URL field.
